Starting a business in Bengaluru comes with plenty of decisions. You need to build your brand, connect with customers, manage expenses and establish a professional presence. But does that mean you need to rent a physical office from day one?

Not necessarily.

If your business needs a professional address for registration, GST-related requirements, official communication or branding, a virtual office can be a practical option. It helps you establish a business presence without taking on the cost of a full-time office.

At BHIVE, we offer Virtual Office plans designed around different business requirements. Whether you’re setting up a new company, applying for GST registration or looking for a professional address for your business communication, you can choose a plan that fits your needs.

Explore our Virtual Office plans here.

What Is a Virtual Office?

A virtual office gives your business a professional address without requiring you to rent a physical office or maintain a permanent workspace. Depending on the plan, it can support business address requirements, company registration, GST registration and the handling of business mail and packages.

It can be useful for startups, entrepreneurs, freelancers and businesses expanding into Bengaluru from another city. Instead of committing to a full office lease before you need one, you can establish your business address while keeping your overheads manageable.

However, a virtual office is not the same as a coworking space or a managed office. Our Virtual Office plans do not automatically include a desk, dedicated workspace or meeting room. If you need a place to work, you can book a day pass separately through BHIVE.

Why Choose a BHIVE Virtual Office in Bengaluru?

1. Establish Your Business Presence in Bengaluru

Bengaluru is home to businesses across technology, consulting, professional services and several other industries. If you’re launching a company or expanding into the city, having a professional business address can help you establish a local presence.

With a BHIVE Virtual Office, you can choose an address at one of our listed Bengaluru locations. Depending on your plan and the applicable requirements, the address can support company registration, GST registration or business communication.

This can be particularly useful if your team operates remotely, works from different cities or does not yet need a permanent office.

2. Keep Your Office Costs Under Control

Renting a physical office involves more than monthly rent. Depending on the arrangement, you may also need to account for deposits, utilities, furniture, maintenance and other operating expenses.

A virtual office allows you to address specific business requirements without committing to a full-time workspace. You can choose a plan based on what you need instead of paying for office space that your team may not use regularly.

At BHIVE, our Virtual Office plans start at ₹7,250 per year plus GST when you sign up for two years. The right plan depends on whether you need a company registration address, GST registration support or a business address for communication and branding.

3. Get Support With Business Documentation

Setting up a business address can involve several documents and approvals. Our Virtual Office plans include documentation based on the plan selected.

Depending on your requirements, the documents we provide can include a membership agreement, a no-objection certificate (NOC), a utility bill and other supporting documents relevant to your registration needs.

For example, our Company Registration Plan includes a Board Resolution template from BHIVE, an NOC from BHIVE and the landlord, a Membership Service Agreement and a utility bill. The GST Registration Plan includes documentation intended to support GST application requirements.

The documents required and the acceptance of an address depend on the applicable rules and the relevant authority. Our team can guide you through the documentation associated with your selected plan, but registration approval is not guaranteed.

4. Manage Business Mail and Packages

Business communication does not stop when you work remotely. Important letters, packages and official correspondence may still need to be received at your business address.

Our Virtual Office plans include mail and package handling. This helps you manage business correspondence without needing to maintain a full-time office just to receive it.

If you operate from another city or work remotely, this can make it easier to maintain a consistent business address while managing your day-to-day operations from wherever you work.

3. Business Address Plan

₹7,250 per year + GST when you sign up for two years

Can You Work From a BHIVE Virtual Office?

A Virtual Office is primarily meant to provide a business address and relevant services. Our Virtual Office plans do not include physical workspace access, desks or meeting rooms by default.

If you need a place to work for a day, you can book a day pass or bulk day pass separately through the BHIVE App. Explore day passes here.

If your business needs regular access to desks, meeting rooms or a dedicated office, you may want to explore our other workspace options.

Choosing the right service comes down to how you work. If you mainly need a professional address, a Virtual Office may be sufficient. If you need a physical place to work, a workspace booking or a different office plan may be more suitable.

Virtual Office vs Coworking Space vs Managed Office

These options serve different business needs, so it helps to understand the difference before you decide.

A Virtual Office gives you a business address and plan-specific services such as mail handling and registration-related documentation. It does not automatically give you a desk or a physical office to work from.

A coworking space is for people and teams who need a physical workspace. Depending on the option you choose, you can use shared work areas, desks and other available facilities.

A managed office is a private office solution for teams that need their own workspace, with the office setup and management handled by BHIVE according to the agreed requirements.

If you’re unsure which option fits your business, start by identifying what you need most: an address, a flexible place to work or a private office for your team.

You can read more about the differences here.
