About the Speaker:
K Vaitheeswaran is the author of the bestselling book “Failing to Succeed – the story of India’s first e-commerce company” (bit/ly/ftsaz) and is widely hailed as the “father of e-commerce in India”
He is a serial entrepreneur and an internet industry veteran who pioneered the e-commerce industry in India when he co-founded India’s first pure-play online retail company Fabmart.com (later rebranded Indiaplaza.com) in 1999.
K Vaitheeswaran has advised global brands like Deloitte, Diageo and the Tata group in their digital initiatives. He is well known in the Indian startup scene and also advises several technology and consumer ventures. He is also a member of the review committee for the Government of India’s prestigious project GeM (Government eMarketplace).
He is also a visiting faculty at IIM Ahmedabad (Managing Digital Businesses) and IIM Bangalore (Corporate Failures)
About Prathibha Sastry (Startup evangelist || Traveler || Creator- The PS Show)
Entrepreneurship and entertainment have been the key themes in her work life. In a career spanning over 18 years, she has launched a film magazine, hosted a film-based radio talk show and co-founded a mobile app based on the Indian entertainment industry.
A pioneer in creating travel with a purpose within the Startup ecosystem, she launched DigitalDesh for a Hyderabad based startup and also Innovation yatra for iSPIRT, which saw her travel across India by road covering more than 100 cities collectively and bring out reports and a coffee table book
She was heading the operations at Microsoft Ventures in India and also involved in building the “largest Innovation platform” in India through Innofest (an iSPIRT initiative)
